An AD has 2 of my cards, I will contact them and report back.
I hope this is true, the SA really pi553d me off last time in was in there, her attitude was horrendous.

If I buy a new watch from ANY AD and they tell me they're keeping ANYTHING that goes with the watch, they can also keep the watch.

The tide will turn on this one day and these AD's will be begging for new customers.

Is everything in the authors story correct? Perhaps not. But some of it seems to be true, especially with the held warranty cards.

Will hot models now flow to the little guy, non-VIP, time will tell.

I don't doubt that they might be releasing the cards, but I question whether or not it was under strict orders of Rolex. And I really doubt they have some huge stockpile of hard to get models that are going to suddenly flood the market (also under strict orders from Rolex). I just don't believe it.

And you shouldn't. FWIW, of the 6 pieces I've purchased from them, they've withheld 0 warranty cards.

I'm starting to think that the people commenting here that WoS withholds cards aren't exactly a random sample of WoS customers. Or, alternatively, this could be a US vs UK sort of thing.

It’s exactly that...something that happened in the UK

CHNR bought here in UK last March from Mappin & Webb, under the same umbrella as WoS.

Warranty card withheld. (Which wasn’t a problem for me as watch isn’t going anywhere).

Be interesting to see if I get the call soon or not asking me to go and collect it.

Your handle says location "Chicago". As far as I know, WoS didn't withhold cards for overseas visitors. I know people who purchased professional models from WoS in the UK, showed an overseas passport (or maybe were just flying out of the country) and got the card. They always said they preferred people to come in person to collect the card after 12 months rather than post it out (for fear of it being lost in the post). Can't do that (easily) if you don't live in the UK - so you get the card.

I did not purchase my watches in the UK. I purchased them in the United States.

I *think* Mappin & Webb are posting their cards out. So I’ve heard from a pal.

Pragnells is a separate company from WoS. Any news from them? Surely they have to follow suit?

I have an email response from WOS group denying this is true.

Has anyone got any written proof to confirm?

It IS 100% true.
Is the “written proof” in letter form by head office? Otherwise it’s probably someone in their social media dept/live chat who just isn’t up to date.

Honestly, believe us it’s 100000% true

Glad Rolex UK stopped the childish warrantee antics .
Think they realized it did nothing to deter flippers/grey dealers and grey buyers .It just annoyed most Rolex buyers .

People calling this bullshit are out of their minds. Both my friend and I have been contacted to come back to get our certificates.
