116508 YG Daytona Green Dial News

The YG Daytona green dial is meant to be a hot
piece

However Watchfinder are offering £28,000 for them if they are brand new, unworn, UK AD supplied with box and papers which is about list price

In other words there is now no benefit of a flipper buying this to flip

So question is why is it still hard to get and why do dealers have them for £42k?

Surely the market for flipping is now done? Unless maybe on a Pepsi or Daytona or blue skydweller

Really feel the heat has come out of the market now

Maybe in a few months it won’t be so hard to get

Nobody knows

But I’m assuming dealers are still asking a premium because they have to in order to not take a loss

Yeah that makes it uninteresting for flippers, good for those that wants one.

Any idea what they pay for a 116500LN?

Yeah true

Watchfinder make £14,000 on these based on asking and selling prices.

Amazing to think the margin is that big

Can’t see it continuing personally

Grey market prices may still be high to offset what the dealers paid. They will probably hold out until it is clear nobody will buy at or above their cost.

I doubt it was ever meant to be a "hot piece". In other words it won't be as out of equilibrium as the 116500LN. As with any new introduction there is always outstripped demand in the first year or two of production. Let's see what this market looks like in a few years when these are still coming. Rolex doesn't have an endless supply of buyers for a $35k green dial YG sports watch imo.

I don’t I’m afraid but you can go on their site and check

I think a friend of mine said about 17k but I could be wrong

I was offered $19,200 (US) for mine from 3 greys.
