I’d take it as an excuse and enablement to add the DD40!

yesterday I tried on the DD36 and DD40. I have a 7.15" wrist flat. The 40 felt big and sporty while the 36mm felt just right. Plus I like the white dial and batons. Only comes in 36mm.

DD36, Mom insulted

36 mm is classic, what is big and what is small...
DD for sure has a lot of wrist presence

Some great DD pictures and parents, just like children, sometimes loose their filter and just tell the truth based on how they see it. Just a matter of personal preference. I prefer the DD II.

When my mum asks me how much my watch cost I tell her £100 & she still says ‘too much’

Even at 43 she’d give me a good clip round the ear if she even knew half the truth about our ‘thing’

Update, went to ship out the 36, took a quick look and decided I wanted to keep it, got a 114060 coming instead to fill the needs for a larger watch lol. I know I know, but I sold one years ago and have always regretted it, so got one back in the stable and I’ll save the 36 for days when I need something to slip under the sleeve

Too funny! I’ve always considered the DD36 to be classic but both are great watches. Enjoy your new Sub, they make a great pair.

I get everyone saying the 36mm is the classical size, but when I got my DJ, initially I thought I'd get the 36 as it is the classic, but as soon as I tried it, I knew it was too small for me. The DJ41 is amazing on me. I probably wouldn't go for DJII or DDII, but DJ41 and DD40 are great for us with larger wrists.

wait what? thought you said she was just giving you a hard time, were you really going to sell it because she said it was too small?
