BB58 for Speedmaster MK40

Hello all.
An interesting offer has popped up for me. Trading my full set on bracelet Tudor BB58 for a Speedmaster MK40 with box but without bracelet or papers. I currently have a 2013 Speedmaster Racing. I'm a sucker for chronos and the dial colours on the MK40 really appeal to me. Few questions for you all. 1; am I out if my mind? 2; anything in particular to look for with the MK40? I do wear the Tudor so it's not necessarily an easy decision. Unfortunately funds don't allow both :(

I just got my Mark 40 back from service. They are a bit pricey to service as it’s a chrono. Starting to wear it a bit. What I like is the fact that it’s automatic. And, I like that it has a date. Speedy Pro lack of date bothers me. It wears a bit small but some like the size. I have 7.25 wrist and wish it was slightly bigger. Also, dial is very busy. I like all of the info you get on the dial but it’s busy. If your eyes starting to go as you age and moving to reading glasses, probably not the watch for you. Looks good on a black or gray NATO.

You should be getting the Mark 40 and significant cash for the BB58. Mark 40’s can be found at good prices. Full set newly serviced would bring $2000 or slightly more.

Thanks for the reply. I am definitely having second thoughts on a deal. It's at €3150 which certainly seems high without the bracelet and papers. I'm just always tempted by any Speedmaster so I had to get some sense here before I did something impulsive.

That does sound too high to me. I was hot for one as my first chrono a few months ago but im heading in another direction now.
