Bvlgari Octo Finnissimo
I have always been fascinated by this watch. I came across one, the stainless steel version, with a significant discount. Are there any owners here that could share their thoughts and experience with this piece? Does it wear larger than its size like the AP Royal Oaks? How about durability to daily wear and tear? Many thanks in advance.

They are so thin, it wears very comfortably. The movement has a full bridge so it should be robust

It wears larger than my Royal Oak 41mm bc of thin size.

When I tried Ro41(15400) it didnt work at all on my wrist and long lugs overhanged my wrist, time only finissimo fit was loads better, like second skin to me.

Not sure how the s/s feels on wrist, but the Ti variant is barely noticeable and take a bit of getting used to at first. Fairly well put together and it sits really well on wrist. From an aesthetic perspective, it’s quite avant-garde and a real break from the usual case designs from other brands. I love it. I get quite a few comments about it.

Where do you get deals on these? My dealer here says no discounts on them.. sticker price is almost 18k usd here in asia which i find to be way too much for it.

I agree - I find that titanium is too light for me. Tried on a grand Seiko snowflake and it just didn't feel right. I like that piece tho! |

I also have a snowflake but after a bit of wear, you’d be surprised how easily you can get used to wearing Ti pieces. The initial phase is a bit hard and it’s that light, you will forget it’s on your wrist and end up bashing it against something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The 42mm chrono gmt actually feels smaller and way more comfortable than the roc. Likely due to the light weight and thin case. So i guess the 40mm ss octo fin should wear smaller..

Wow! Killer duo! The Octo looks so much bigger in that photo. How does the Octo compare the the AP in terms of everyday durability? I know firsthand that the ROs are scratch magnets. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You are most welcomed. Wrist feels smaller for octo chrono. I rotate the octo with other brands and it certainly has held itself very well! Had quite a hard knock of the watch face against glass door and went unscathed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I love it. Fits well and doesn't wear to large. It always shocks ppl when they notice how thin it is and they ask me to take it off and see it. I too was worried about robustness but it feels very robust/solid. The black ceramic is always scratch proof - it looks and holds up amazingly well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Love these pieces too. It does wear large and I have a smaller wrist, but the thinness is a win. I love the Japan version

I’ve been known to run hot and cold with watches... but since buying this a few months ago...it’s seen more wrist time than anything else.
Ive found it to be absurdly comfortable and also quite durable. I definitely recommend it.

Lovely watch. I bet this wears more like a 44mm Panerai or AP ROO? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would not say it wears anywhere close to those. This watch is literally more comfortable than my g shock ga2100. I would definitely check for lug overhand on a wrist less than 7" but remember the chrono is 42mm and the standard model is 40mm.

Thanks GB-man. I have small wrists so I’m definitely leaning towards the std time only models. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If anyone’s concerned about durability of the thinnest chronograph movement in the world I took down a 30 foot tree with a chainsaw over the course of an afternoon during an ice storm and completely forgot to remove my Octo chrono gmt.
No sweat. Running like a top. I’ve also wore it like a Rolex and somehow haven’t managed a scratch yet. It’s proven to be super durable thus far.

Carbon Minute Repeater. Surprisingly loud chime for such a thin movement housed in a non-metal case.
I have to say, this watch blew me away and I was smiling the entire time I had it on. Not because it was a minute repeater, but because of how insanely light it is. It literally felt like the fake paper watches I used to make myself in grade school. It made the titanium Octo feel like steel in comparison. The technical innovation here, from both the movement and materials perspective, is immense and I can only hope they make a time only model of this.

Anyone have the new polished Octo Finissimo black ceramic? Thoughts, comparisons to sandblasted version?
