By his own admission the op knows this has been "covered" before and is looking for tips...exactly what is expected, a purchase over the next couple days of the most sought after Rolex watches? I feel bad for all the posters like Paul and Fleetlord who took their time to write real helpful insights for what seems to be merely amusement. To buy any in demand Rolex watch now and going forward the answer is simple, you have history dating back to the pre-silly era, you spend lots of money, you wait, or the moon and the stars align and you get lucky, all the while keeping in mind that being a nice person, polite and cordial still go a long way. |

Ah, I see. It just seems to me that as I've read, I've noticed that most want brand-new or grey. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I received a BLRO as my first purchase from an exceptional local AD - full disclosure - it was bundled with a TT Lady DJ. Even then, I'm more than aware of how ridiculously rare this is, and how fortunate I was, but it can happen. Good AD's do exist, but they are as rare as the watches themselves.

I had a family member that worked at the AD.
Waited 1 year before getting mine. Still VERY lucky to be offered one. You might want to look at secondary market, or another watch. |

That is serious flex! The guy is talking about walking in for the first time and asking for a SS watch (possibly his first) and you want to compare $200K + (on a very very very bad day of evaluation) worth of watches you flashed to the SA so they know you are serious. Not the same AT ALL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Many big spenders want the same watches as you, who do you think the AD would rather sell them to? Don't take it personally, it's only business.
