Great watch.
One of the Patek's favorites.

OP, do you travel a lot?
Or is there another reason why you like it?
Personally, unless I travelled to different countries on a regular basis it wouldn't be a watch that I would choose.
But heck, if you like it, then what does it matter what others members think!

Patek makes the best World Time watches.

I don't own the 5230R, but have the 5131R and the RG case has a warmth to it that makes it a great watch. If you like WT watches, I say go for it

Patek World Time is a must have for any self respecting US News & World Report reading suburbanites.......i say that perhaps because i'm a CountryBoy with globe trotting complex, ever since watching Paris, Texas.

In my perception the WTs are more wrist art than a practical tool for traveling and I prefer the 5110 to the later iterations including the 5230.

If you like it, get it, i surely would not tho.

Agree the 5110r is better imho. Price was $12,500 when i got one during the initial release. My AD lost his... so years later he lateralled me his 5110 Wall Clock :)

Sold 'em both and it might be the only PP i'd ever care to get again. i think all the 5110 were the good Geneva Seal so you're fine. Later WT models went to their proprietary PP 'qualification' so quality in decoration became of a lower standard as we find today in many Patek models. So yes, get the 5110r imho.

I think it’s a nice looking watch. I have no use for the WT function but aesthetically I dig it.
