Question on GMT II C availability

Well, I can honestly say I am totally infatuated by this lovely watch.

The only problem is that it's going to take me several months to save up enough "toy money" to acquire it.

My question is: Is this a limited production watch? Will it go out of production in the near (or far) future or is this the new "permanent" look of the GMT?

I just want to know if I have the time to save up for it or should I go and sell a kidney to buy the watch asap?

Thanks!!!

Abdon

Welcome to the forum Abdon..

The original GMT was essentially unchanged (looks wise) since 1954......

It is not a Limited Edition and I believe that the GMT II ceramic will be around for a few more decades....

No one knows what Rolex will do in the future. However, my sense is that this watch is here to stay at a VERY good price right now. If yours doesn't have to be BNIB, then there are fantastic deals to be had. Even if you want BNIB, you can expect a solid discount in this current market.

Don't stress yourself out, worried you might "miss out." The watch you desire will definitely be available when you are ready.

Best of luck and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. I just picked one up a few months back, and I am pretty sure it will be around for a loooong time. :) Good taste.

The current GMT IIC will probably be around for donkey's years. In fact, if it takes you a while to save up, it'll only help you for choices as next year there will probably be an updated Submariner and you never know, Rolex may figure out how to make the red/black and red/blue bezels that are so popular on the classic GMT in ceramic. Expect waiting lists for the new stuff though!

I disagree.

Sell one kidney and buy the GMT.

You will still have one kidney left for future use.

My two cents.

Whew!
Thanks for the replies!!!

I know I have to be more patient, but as the old saying goes..."Lord, please give me patience but give it to me NOW!!!" LOL!

Looking at all the superb images of fine watches on this forum doesn't really help much either!
