Curious what everyone asks when purchasing from the forums to legitimize sellers, I'm currently in talks to purchase a Patek from the forums but they only have 2-3 references and also threw the I'm a "reputable bussinessman" card. They're also unwilling to use a third party to check the legitimacy of the watch and essentially use them as an escrow service (which I would pay for entirely.)

Are these red flags?

I won't blast them but its a 5712 thats being sold for very low and has been up since August 2021... what makes me wonder is how his post has been up for so long without raising red flags.

I take it back doing a quick search on him it looks like its the same watch but being reposted since Apr 2021... :/

That posting makes zero sense. I assumed it was a scam but didn’t look too far into it. I mean it’s about 50k under market for starters.

PM a mod and stay away. Unless you're 100% always walk. Buy the seller first, not the deal.
