I don't find it tacky. Not my cup of tea at all, but it is someone else's. It's a beautiful piece and lots of work went into it. If someone wants a diamond crusted Rolex this would be a real contender. Tridor's are cool references.

As for value, no idea. I'd guess 80-100?

Does one have to get the diamonds inspected occasionally to make sure that they are not loose? If so how often? With every overhaul or annually?
