Auto texts from AD

Anyone else get these robo texts from their AD:
Hi {insert your name}! I hope you are well. I thought you might like more information about Rolex and their sponsorship of racing. The Cosmograph Daytona was created for speed! It's really cool! https://www.rolex.com/world-of-rolex/motor-sports.html

They've been coming once a month since June of this year. I have a good purchase history at this AD and am expecting a TT CHNR any time now and previsouly expressed my interest in a SS Daytona.

Probably depends on the retailer, as these types of text are ways to 'keep in touch' and perhaps educate customers.

In the future, AI will cull data from online and better 'target' customers who recently discussed certain models, etc. This will help make texts a bit more personally relevant.

My texts from my AD center around topics like

“What are you buying your wife for xyz” and “look at this dog that might be available!”

My texts are usually centered around a lovely two tone dog for the wife rather than the SS that I actually want...

Like speaking Chinese and Russian

I was hoping to hear "sure did and a couple of months later walked right out with a SS Daytona, lol". I'm sure it means nothing firm, but at least it reminds me they know what I'm hunting for.

Don’t feel bad Peter G stopped taking my calls years ago lol I’m talking about the local AD here. They must think I run an SPCA with the amount of dogs they think I want to buy.

My AD does not send out any marketing texts or emails, they do maintain pretty active Facebook and Instagram accounts which mostly just share the Rolex corporated ads.
The only person from my AD I receive texts from is my longtime SA and then only if I’m inquiring about something. He has never randomly offered something I haven’t asked for.

Rolex buyers have been gaslighted to a degree that even a spam can be interpreted as a signal of flirting.

So sad.

Never received a text like that but one of my ADs does send a blast text whenever there is a particular piece available. I have received more and more of these texts this year which I take as a signal of the weakening market.

Hope you get your piece soon

I visited an AD yesterday in the Midwest; today, I received an automated text with an image of a diamond ring with a message saying "SHE GETS THE ICE." I responded with a "heart" emoji.

I would appreciate any contact from any one of my three local ADs. One guy promised to check in every 60 days or so - but we haven’t hit this point as of now.
