Bucherer AD relationship

After my local AD, a small jewelry store, lost their Rolex AD I need to establish a new relationship. I have a Bucherer that is local to me with a Rolex boutique. I went there and expressed my interest in a few pieces and the lady had a tourneau.com email address. I guess Bucherer bought tourneau a few years ago?

Anyways, is it a good idea establishing a relationship with Bucherer or should I go somewhere else?

I asked for an Airking and Explorer II polar. They couldn’t give me a timeline.

It’s a good idea to make friends with as many ADs as you can.

Maybe buy them flowers. Invite them to an outward bound event, perhaps involving canoes or rock climbing. A French themed restaurant always works, just be sure to order a modest wine , perhaps a Corbiere or a Minervois. Confit duck or pork belly with a reduction Jus the perfect relationship builder...

Tourneau IS Bucherer. They (Bucherer) bought them (Tourneau) in 2018.

Go to Bucherer

IMHO go to Bucherer. I would bet dollars to donuts they are going to get preferential treatment for fulfilling Rolex and Tudor orders - maybe just a little bit at first, but increasingly over time.

Why wouldn't they? Rolex didn't purchase Bucherer for poops and giggles. They wanted a retail network, and the more purchases they can keep within that network, the more $$$ they make. (Plus, Rolex can now control the entire customer purchase experience - no small matter at a time when customers seem to have utter contempt for ADs and their allocation preferences.) Win/win from Rolex's perspective.

I would skip it but I have a high sense of self respect and personal dignity. I also value my time. Go elsewhere.

They respect loyal clients and a long-term relationship!

I have been going into Tourneau/Bucherer for years. Every time I go in, there are new sales people, it is a revolving door for sales people. They cordially write my request down each time, go in the back room, print it out and wipe their arse with it. Bucherer is a good place to look, doubt you will ever get a call. Sure go in and test the waters, but as others have said find another AD

After losing my local AD that I had a wonderful relationship with for 25+ years I have started to think just this.
I got “Pretty Womaned” at Bucherer in NYC last month.

Tourneau/Bucherer is the absolute worst AD which is really saying something given their new/future owner. They have the training, morales, care, and experience of a used car lot in the 1980s.

Last year Rolex acquired Bucherer in a private deal.

I would say that establishing a Bucherer relationship is as close to "Rolex" as you can get.

What arrogance with these AD's. Rolex is ruining the experience.

They actually own and run the store in Geneva though, right?
