RONR aka Coke Bezel GMT II Watches and Wonders

Rumor-mill is running rampant (as it has for the past decade…) concerning the imminent release of the Rolex RONR aka Coke GMT II.

Will it happen this year?

I don’t understand why a hot topic is the potential difficulty in producing a Pepsi bezel, but nobody mentions the same difficulty in producing the Coke bezel? If the red ceramic is the problem, why would the Coke be any easier? If there is, indeed, no trouble in producing the Pepsi bezel, then all of that goes out the window, just curious why nobody mentions the same problem with the Coke.

I think black covers the red nore efficiently than blue in the BLRO. Just as black over the blue in the BLNR works fine.

If it’s coming, which to me is a big if, it will likely only be on PM at first, not SS. I really don’t think Rolex needs anymore bezel colors.

I will say this.. one of my AD’s is based out of a very big Rolex boutique - and he’s a long time top level employee.. for what it’s worth he told me he believes the Pepsi is done. I know, I know, seems ridiculous for all the obvious reasons we all are aware of but still just had to mention this lol.

It already has, just picked mine up…
Jk caught the light just right on my 2021 BLRO ;)
It would be nice if Rolex adds it to the catalog this yr for those that have been waiting. As for me I’m happy with my “POKE” lol

Agree. The Rolex point of view is that if you want it, it will cost you $40k for the white gold version.

I'm all for the fun of speculation, but as a current Pepsi owner if it were to get discontinued, would the price sky rocket? I'd probably sell it if it got discontinued haha

My sources* say a Coke is not happening this year.

*the voices in my head

I hope it happens though so there will be less completion for me getting a VTNR.

I don’t think it will skyrocket in this market, but surely inch up a bit.

I agree, if we see it, it'll be white gold first

It will be a very short run if they actually discontinue it. 2 years ago, it would’ve gone much higher. Today, it will definitely go up but would guess it goes from 20k to 30k. I have one and if they went to 30k and I could basically trade mine for a panda Daytona, I may do it. Think there are others like me and that would be the top.

The current Pepsi bezel is similar to a Coke imo the darker the blue on the bezel, the easier to be produced, somehow explained the colour variation from mk1 to 3
