1. Marky Mark posts a picture of him wearing the new model on IG (4 months).

2. Sylvester Stallone follows suit (6 months).

3. Ben Clymer posts an article and video about how much he loves his new model Rolex (8 - 9 months).

4. New model shows up on DavidSW at 2.5x - 3x the retail price (1 year).

5. Posts on TRF from major VIPs that their AD was amazing enough to show them the new model - even though it had been allocated to another VIP - probably to DavidSW (15 months).

6. New model shows up occasionally as a demo only piece (2 years).

7. First post on TRF of someone receiving the new model - post includes a strong advocacy for ADs in general and for the current environment. Upon prodding, poster admits that he purchased 5 separate diamond rings from the AD before receiving the new model - 3 of the same exact diamond ring for his wife ... one diamond ring for his ex-wife ... and one diamond ring for a 'good friend' (24 - 36 months).

The best marketing strategy for the new releases is release sparingly or not at all!

Keep that carrot dangling.

What new releases it's been the same for the past 20 odd years mainly cosmetically changed old ones.

And sometimes, not even then. My AD claims to have still never had a Deepsea Challenge.

They seem to dribble out very slowly. The notion that they have them "day of" reveal has never been proven to my satisfaction.

I disagree, the new 126710GRNR is definitely very innovative and different. It’s absolutely not made using spare green paint for 116710LN, or 126713GRNR bezels before gold is inserted in the numerals.

Some of the new Rolex hit the ADs in under two weeks last year. The new Daytonas took closer to six months.

So who knows
