Thanks gents! I'm still over the moon about this one. Maybe it's because I've been chasing this one for sooo long. True grail for me.

I hope my wallet has time to recover.

That 5740 is gorgeous!
This! So many times I almost went grey.

Congratulations!
it's mostly me chauffeuring the kids if anything.

I was told there is no way I can get an offer for the Aquanaunt nor Nautilus as my first PP. So I went gray and purchased my Aquanaunt.

Major congratulations—the ultimate nautilus! I have a hard time understanding how this was a first Patek piece without much purchase history. Perhaps it’s the very small premium that has been eroding on the secondary market as well an even softer AD market for the higher ticketed items than I had initially thought.

Regardless, exceptional watch and I wouldn’t pay any attention to outside market noise if it was on my wrist! Enjoy :)

Correct definitely not first. It's my first patek. I was holding out on two purchases with the initial AD in hopes of trying to get a 5740 but they weren't biting. Every AD is like we get 1-2 pieces a year, blah blah blah. Did you want a skydweller, maybe a daytona instead.

Clicked with the new AD and took a leap of faith. I'm beyond happy with the 5740. Not even sure where to go from here in terms of Patek.
