What kind of information is stored on the new NFC warranty cards?
Hi I am just wondering what type of information is stored on the card, whether it is accessible to regular people with a standard scanner, or encrypted or hidden that only RSC can access.
Obvious things like purchase date, model, AD, etc should be inside but would it contain any personal information of the owner, etc? |

There are some codes for each card, which goes like
gcard.rolex.com/check/v1/tag?rid=code 1&p=code 2&c=code 3&m=code 4 There is nothing you can find from these codes, you will only be redirected to rolex website. Whatever encrypted data it might have can only be seen by Rolex since the encrypted data is stored on their end with an equivalent data. rid can be watch model, p can be serial, c can be ad info, m can be date its sold (as i remember AD's are scanning these codes when watches are sold. so equivalent of these codes will be updated on Rolex side with AD info and sale date on Rolex's servers. -) - just a guess... I don't think there is any owner specific data stored on Rolex

One code may be the country code.

Basically, it's just very simple data that is a serial number of sorts, kinda like how each Bitcoin has a unique identifier. So there's no personal data or anything like that.

I just got my GMT a few weeks ago, how would I know I have an NFC chip based warranty card?

Yea, it’s minimal info and nothing that special or unique. It opens up the web catalog to what you own but not sure what the point is as you already purchased the watch??
I like the old cards that had more printed info.
