Polishing my TT Sub

Hi Folks
Posting after a long time. I have a Two tone sub from 2018. I wanted to get it polished (I see many fine scratches). Should I also get it serviced ?

Can someone please recommend options for Polish/Service? AD says

Their watchmaker polish - upto $400
Rolex Polish and Service $1500+

I think its a rip off.. Any advice on selecting a good watchmaker or another AD?
I am in Austin TX

Thanks
Ash

The only time any Rolex watch needs any sort of polishing is at normal routine service total cost less than $900- $1000 for normal service polish included in price Then watch will be as good as new with a two year warranty.

If you think that’s a rip off to spend after six years of ownership I don’t think you thought it would this through. I don’t know how much cheaper than $400 you expect to spend for me even the full service price is reasonable

Sounds like your AD is overcharging. Send it to RSC, Dallas.

At Rolex, refinishing your watch to factory standards is included (free) with a service. I think that a TT service is around 850 so you would need a lot wrong to kick it up to 1500 bucks.

I think that paying 400 bucks for a "polish" is impractical because a month later you are right back to a watch with wear and tear.

Can I deal directly with them and bypass the AD?

Yes! Call them, and they will instruct you on how to package and ship the watch.
