Does everyone elses Aquanaut bezel scratch if you just look at it wrong?

All 3 Aquanauts I've owned have somehow gotten hairline scratches on the bezel within days of buying them and my wrist awareness was on 100. Not a big deal, just makes me feel like the humidity in the air if it's thick enough will scratch the brushed part of the bezel

Anyone else notice their aquanaut bezel's scratch if you accidentally breathe on it?

I’ve never been lucky enough to have one of these scratch magnets. But I aspire to one day.

I'm not one to fuss over scratches on my watches but when I got my 5168 I decided to buy a protection kit and see how I liked it. I thought worst case I take off the protection film if I don't like it and I'm out the $80. 6 months in and I'm loving the protection. Don't notice it at all and the watch has not 1 scratch or mark. It was pretty tough putting them on though. Felt like I was playing the operation game using the tweasers to affix. https://invisishieldlab.com/collecti...lippe-aquanaut

Not really. Have three. No more bezel scratches than other watches with steel or PM bezels. Same with Nautilus.

This is not something new, Nautilus and Aquanauts are scratch magnets , even worse in the PM versions. So you have to try to wear them with awareness but not to the point that you won’t enjoy the watch. Once you bypass that then you should be fine. Because if affects you to the point to make you unhappy then selling all of the sudden becomes an option.

If you have one scratch on a new Aquanaut it's a distraction and doesn't look good. If you have 70 scratches on a five year old Aquanaut it forms a random matrix and looks superb.
A perfectly preserved steel Aquanaut, or Nautilus, looks fussy but one that's well worn looks elegant and confers, on the wearer, a devil may care character. Even though it's, likely, not true.

Yes, hairline scratches show up on my aquanaut with incredible frequency and under all conditions.

So far I never got any scratches from my Nautilus’ bezel, but I never looked at it wrong. I can not comment on Aquanut, but I suppose it could be a different type of cat.
That is your question, isn’t it?

Yes, the only bezel I have come across that scratches more than an Aquanaut is a Cartier Santos.

As one of the posts above rightly says, they actually look seriously cool once they have many scratches. It is also interesting to see what they return to, post a Patek service.

I swear my long sleeves scratch mine haha, can't be anything else because I never let it come into contact with any other surface since I'm very careful!
