Looking for diver summer watch

Hi all,
I looking to get diver watch this summer. My price point is around 7k-9k usd. I have 2 watches on my mind: Omega Seamaster Diver 300m professional or Ulysse Nardin Diver 300m. Which one do you think is a better option or maybe you have other recommendations? If you have any photos of Omega or UN feel free to post it. I know I can get a discount on UN but I don't know if there's any discount on Omega divers.

Are you actually going to use it for diving out of interest?

Exactly what I was thinking and why I wanted to know if it was for actual diving purposes.

I will be using it on the boat or sea doo. Also I will be swimming in the lake.

For me, a summer watch has to have a rubber strap. I’d go with a Pelagos 39 or Omega Seamaster 300m on rubber if it were me.

In that case, with 200m WR & excellent legibility, you already have a watch that would be excellent for the job with your BB Pro. Get a nice rubber integrated strap for it to give you that Summer Vibe and you’re good to go. As luck would have it, Vanguard have just brought out a very reasonably priced one for it, or you could spend some of that money you will have saved on a Rbber B one!

Tudor Pelagos is nice but I don’t want second Tudor in my collection right now. What you guys think about Breitling Superocean heritage?

I like the Breitling but would look for it slightly pre-owned as it is a real value in that market.

How about IWC Aquatimer 42mm? Do anyone have experience or opinion about this model?

Breitling Superocean, not Heritage. Check it out. I like it in black. I have an older model in yellow.

SMP 300 on rubber

Pelagos 39 (you get the rubber option)

The new Black Bay 41 Monochrome on rubber

GO SeaQ on rubber or textile strap (handful of dial color options)

JLC Polaris on rubber

The UN is very nice, I only sold it as I had too many dive watches

My choice for summer dive watch is my SLA037 (the 039 is nice too)

Could not agree more. I was super impressed with the SLA037 and SLA039. The case finishing and the high beat movement are top notch.

Another one in the Pelagos camp here.
It's in my running for a new summer watch.

Rolex Submariner, Panerai Submersible PAM02305, Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Date, Omega Planet Ocean 600m, Doxa Sub 200 and Sub 300, Fortis Marinemaster, Tissot Seastar 200, Longines Hydroconquest, Resco Gen 1 and Gen 2 Patriot, Resco Blackfrog Line (which have an option of either quartz or automatic), and Longines Legend Diver all looks solid.

Yes I’m including only automatic dive watches since I thought that’s what you’re looking for, unless you’re fine with quartz….?

I usually daily drive a Casio MRW-200H these days. May not be much but at least it serves me well and can really take a beating and withstand water pretty well. Great watch.

Doxa if you want a fun color, rubber strap, wont care too much if it gets knocked around on a Seadoo.

The Omega Shades are surprisingly nice. I recently saw them in person and was a little taken aback. Plenty of water resistance too. Worth a look in person if possible.

Big Omega fan here as well, as an owner of an Aqua Terra, which isn't properly speaking a dive watch, but would fit the bill here as 150M WR is plenty, and it is a nice summer watch on the rubber strap, particularly in the summer blue version.

That said, my vote would go for Tudor. I know you said you don't want another Tudor, but I recently tried on the Pelagos FXD Alighi chronograph, and while large, is really a fun watch, with the very special titanium / carbon look and red accents. Worth checking out.
