How Does The 15500 Fit Vs. 15300 or 15202

Hi All

After really enjoying my 15300or, I think I may want to venture into the steel models AP has to offer. As far as fit goes, the 15300 fits me very nicely, as does a 15202. Can I go up a tad, sure, but not too much.

At any rate, I tried on the 37mm 15450, and even though I have a 6.3" wrist, I felt it was a bit dainty. That leaves the 41mm models. I have tried on a 15400 and it felt too big, as the case was overhanging a bit on the wrist. Upon reading some reviews online of the 15500 it appears that they made the case smaller than the 15400, but I have no way of confirming as the AP store near me did not have a 41mm to try on.

Would anybody happen to have a side by side of a 15400 and 15500 (or 15510 as it should be a similar case size) or comment on how the 15500 fits on a smaller wrist?

Thank you in advance!

For your size, I think 15450 is the best. It's not big, and you can wear it more like a classic piece than a sporty piece. I am 6.8 inch flat wrist and the 15450 fits very well. Yes a 15500/15510 is bigger but that makes it look too big on the wrist objectively. 15400 i looks a bit smaller than 15500/15510. Whichever puts a bigger smile on your face is the right one to go.

Thanks- I really have to try on a 15500/10 but I for sure know the 15400 is too large to be comfortable for me. I was hoping that the smaller case overhang would make things easier, but alas I was hoping to find information here.

Oddly enough I felt the 15450 was too dainty, would have to try again somehow. I did try a 15550 at AP, oddly enough it did feel nicer on the wrist. Maybe it had a slightly larger case than the 15450 or it was an optical illusion with a thinner bezel or larger dial?

As an update- to whoever wants to know- the 15500 is comically large compared to a 15300

The slightly smaller case size (lug area) compared to the 15400 is negligible.

Next up- I am going to see if I can try on a 39mm ROC- 25860 or 26300 in either steel or gold/rose gold

check out the 38mm 26715st - it's the absolute perfect size.

I have a similar wrist. I have 15300, 15202 and 25960. All 39 and fit great. Thanks for your feedback on 15400, I’ve been curious but never tempted to actually look into one. If you want a steel model, why not a 15300st to add to 15400 or?

My wrist is 6.3", 39MM royal oaks are the best fit. 5402/15202/15300!

I have a 6.75", and personally think the 15500 is too big. There's just too much plain dial for my liking. I find the chronos, QPs, etc which have a bit more going on suit me better. 39mm is the best size for me.

Thanks, and think I may be looking for a 25860/26300 chrono next.

My opinion is it will be too big. I had a 15400 and it wore big on my 7" wrist. The 15500 wears even larger due to the bezel being thinner, making the face appear even larger with more surface area visible. If you like the 15300 and 15202, I do not think you will like the 15500.

My wrist is 6.5 and below are the different case sizes on my wrist.

41mm - looks way too big

39mm - the integrated lug protrudes outside my wrist

38mm - goldilocks
