Yes. The white gold version has more attractive sub dials. I think I would miss the ceramic bezel however, but then again I like that the black on the WG version is limited to the dial only.

I prefer the SS but that WG is a beauty.

Because I like the WG, or even the Pt. Daytona, more than the SS, I would sell the 500 to help fund the 509.
The WG bezel is a ding risk of course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Of course, I understand that switching from SS to PM seems like a quality improvement, and obviously it would be.
However, with keeping it in mind, I feel that in this case, this change might feel like a step backwards. I think the 116500LN is such a characterful watch that I certainly wouldn't change it to a ""more common"" Daytona, just because it's made of gold and not steel. |

Yes, WG is beautiful, much more classy and subtle. 116500LN black or white dial are too common. Unless you care about resale value.

I would get the OF version. I really like the contrast with the ceramic bezel.

I would do it! To me precious metal Dayotnas are more valuable than the steel versions. I don’t really understand the whole buzz about the steel Daytonas. It makes perfect sense, you paid retail for the steel Daytona, sell it at a premium and buy the white gold version. Its an upgrade in my opinion.

Both very similar and lovely. Can’t go wrong with either. I would do what suits you best, ie preference/collection/finances etc.
Love the dial on the WG. |
