I have WAY too many watches and have debated doing something similar to this.
For me it would be 3 Rolex PM pieces and a SS 1). 228238 I already have this (White dial with romans) and would keep it. 2). 126719BLRO Meteorite 3). 126618LB 4). 124060 as my beater. I could easily do this with moving a few pieces I never wear but Id still have to keep my 16570 as it was a engagement gift from my wife and Id still keep a few other watches from other brands I have (AP, Moser, Omega etc) Whats stopping me? Too lazy to take pics and I take lousy pics LOL!!!

Just by having my TT DJ, I can tell you that Rolex does an amazing job with yellow gold. I don’t care much for the color of the rose gold, and white gold is just kind of “meh”. If I were you, I’d get all three in yellow gold: a DD, a Sub, and a Daytona.

Variety Is Wise
I like your plan, but for me I'd substitute steel for white gold as they look similar.
I had a plan a while back to move full rose gold across my collection, but am now grateful to have variety. S/S Slate YM, T/T Rootbeer, T/T Bluesy, Rose Olive DD and most recently Rose Black Ceramic on O/F. There's no wrong or right way to go here. Rolex, in my opinion, don't make any bad looking watches, I'd be happy to own and wear any combo. For me I enjoy the variety. |

I like your choices. Personally I prefer YG, PT & WG in that order. I like RG mostly on a strap watch.

If you have the ability to get all those in PM, for me in that set would be a Meteorite Dial, either Pepsi or Daytona ..
