Tudor Big Block Value

Hi all,

Here's the pics of my Tudor Big Block that arrived at the weekend. It really is a beautiful watch and I'm chuffed to bits with it!! The dial in particular is a stunning shade of silver / bronze.

The serial no. starts with B45 which I believe dates it to 1992. It's in nice condition and has only gained 2 secs per day since I received it.

I've previously owned a (later) Tudor Prince Date Chronograph which I have regretted selling , so when the opportunity to buy this came up I couldn't resist!

I need to add it to my contents insurance so any advice on how much I should insure it for (in GB£), given that it doesn't have the original box and papers, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. :)

Dan

Hi guys,

Are there any Tudor experts out there who are able to help with this?

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,
Congrats, what a beauty!
I'd say the value is about $3K [USD] to $4K. They seem to be climbing lately.
Wear that baby in good health.
Here's my Big Block.

That watch is beautiful!

Google that reference, and you will find other examples for sale so that you have a ballpark idea on value, then add 10%.

Dan is correct with the valuation. I would say towards the top end of his range.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys and the help with the valuation!

Love your big block Dan! I have to admit that of all the Tudor Chronograpghs, yours has probably the best dial colour combination, with mine a very close second!

FWIW I spent some time looking into Big Blocks about 6 months ago. Near mint examples were going for at least $4K and up to the $5K range.

I don't know, those silver Tudor dials are stunning. Either way you can't beat those rotating bezels.
At one time these were going for close to 6K but then economic reality set in. But they're climbing back.
