What Luminova does Rolex use?
Not sure about this one, guys. Would appreciate a positive and definite answer. Thanks.
What Luminova does Rolex use on their new models? Just plain Luminova or the Super Luminova which Omega uses in their new PO? JJ

Not 100% sure JJ but think its now Super Luminova, but there are still
different grades of S/Luminova makes some a bit brighter than others.

Thanks, Padi....that's what I thought too....'cause the Super Luminova they use in OMEGA sports models seems way brighter than the Rollies.

I'm not sure if it's plain old luminova or super luminova but, I did read somewhere that Rolex mixes more white (paint or dye, I dunno) in with their lume mix so the indices appear more white in normal lighting conditions.
I've seen other watches that have super luminova on them and the indices appear to have a greenish hue to them (but they are retina burners in the dark). |

Valid point, Johnny. Omegas do have some power S/Luminova which appear greenish in natural light, but glow like the clappers in the dark.
Rolex, on the other hand, has white markers with a not so bright glow in the dark.
