Hi William! That´s me again!
yes, the inner ring you refer, is called "rehaut" and in last series came with the word Rolex engraved, as well as the serial number.
I can´t remember well now, the year this feature started in the Rolex line, nor the serial number range, but if you read through the Forum, will find this info for sure.
