Hi!!!!
What's up!?
Just found this forum. I have been a watch geek for many years and have a few semi-nice watches. I'm a big Tissot fan. Right now I have Tissot T-Touch - all SS/silver dial - original model - battery lasted 7 years just changed it!!! Tissot Automatic - Just bought this in Nassau Bahamas - Very solid watch. Looks like this one except it has orange stitching in the bracelet and orange markers. One of my favorites - has the standard ETA auto movement for cheapish Swiss stuff. My 3rd Tissot - T-Race Moto GP edition 2010 - it came in a cool mini-race helmet box. :) Next I have a very rare Locman model 1970 - Purchased at the grand opening day of Locman Florance in Italy - Titanium case - carbon fiber dial and ETA movement. - I love this thing but it's EXTRA HUGE!!! I can't find a good pic of it so here is something similar... I used to have a Tag Formula but sold it :( I have been a fan of Rolex for a long time. I have actually ran into acquiring one just by chance due to my grandpa passing away right after he bought one. I'm going to sell it due to it being worth quite a bit and having 2 kids and an evil ex-wife who sucks $500/month out of my paycheck... Anyways I'm not trying to make this a "for sale" thread - just want to get up to the 16 posts needed to do so. Last edited by sleddog; 2 February 2011 at 03:37 PM.. Oh I don't mind the 16 days. I will probably be around a lot longer then that. I love timepieces, usually stuff I can't afford. Love Uboat and Hubolt.... They do some amazing stuff. My first love was the Zenith Grand Chronomaster Open which I saw in Spain in 1999.... beautiful watch. |

Okay here are some pix of the Datejust. Again it's a "Y" model (saw that when swapping the bracelet) So according to Google that puts it's manufacture date around 2002.
Oh sorry for the quality. I just have a cheap point'n'shoot. |

It came with a jubilee bracelet. My Grandpa liked the "oyster" style better but according to him the fluted bezel does not ever come with the oyster... I don't know.
Anyways I have both bracelets. |

Even though I'm selling it, I have to remark on some differences between the Rolex and my 2 auto ETA Tissot watches.
1. The Rolex changes date EXACTLY at the 12am mark whereas the two Tissot's switch over within 10 min of when they should. 2. The Rolex second hand is quite a bit more fluid/smooth then the ETA's. 3. The Rolex keeps a "charge" much longer then the other Swiss movements I have. Seriously I can keep it off for a couple of days and it's still ticking. The Tissot's only last MAYBE 1.5 days. I can tell a lot of time went into designing this movement and it is very accurate. Maybe I'll keep it ;) |

$500.00 month = evil ex-wife (with 2 kids). You got it good my friend. I'd call her a saint if it were me. Sorry for going off topic a bit but you put it out there.

Well... I guess this damn thing is growing on me... It is a piece of art and I can't stop looking at it
I have decided to keep it. I have changed the bracelet and it is much more "me" now. |
