Hi William! Thatīs me again!
yes, the inner ring you refer, is called "rehaut" and in last series came with the word Rolex engraved, as well as the serial number.
I canīt remember well now, the year this feature started in the Rolex line, nor the serial number range, but if you read through the Forum, will find this info for sure.
Best cordial regards, Abel.

sorry about the smudges and lint, would have been a nice shot!

ps watch will never leave the family but i did keep the old scratched up silver number bezel just in case!

Wow! A 16613 lover's dream thread!

I like the shots with the darker looking gold and darker looking blue.
Hard to tell with different lighting but definitely a great thread for us blue TT lovers!

The face color is amazing. This is the only classic sub I'd consider.

Just love the first picture :)

It's interesting to note that not only has the blue changed slightly through the years, but the yellow/gold font as well. In some it was more yellow while others was more gold.

I do really think Rolex needs to fix the smurf blue on the 116613 SUB-C. The color almost makes the bezel insert look like plastic. Not to flame any that have it, it's still a great looking watch, but I compared it side by side to the blue bezel insert on the YM2. The YM2 is slightly darker, less smurfy. I had my heart set on the blue SUB-C until I saw it in person and then went with the black one at the very last minute. It was a V serial, but I could tell by the date wheel font that it was an older V. It's strange, the blue one looks much better in pictures, it photographs very well. I do believe from experience that the G and Random serial bezels are just a tad darker than the older V serials. I haven't had two side by side, so it could have been the lighting, but I remember seeing a G and thinking it looked a little better, still not as good as the aluminum though.

Hi, I am searching for my 1st Rolex. Recently saw an ad in my home country a TT D series which had the letters at 6 oclock positon 'SWISS - T < 25' instead of SWISS MADE.
Is this watch genuine?

My girlfriends's dial shifts to a nice purple. The lighting may be a little off, but the purple is still pretty vivid. I love the dial.
