Icon9 Searching for GMT

I'm in the market for a GMT (and looking in the For Sale forum) but when I use GMT in the Keywords field I get no hits. Regular search, advanced search... same thing. Am I doing something wrong?

Is this a bug?

Be more specific - Advanced search / For Sale Section

GMT 16750
GMT 16710

etc...

That's all well and good but I still don't understand why a single "word" like GMT doesn't return any hits. I mean if you search for Yachmaster or whatever you don't have to include a model number, you just see all the YM's.

I think this is a bug in the search function and it would be nice if it were looked into for a possible fix.

Correct answer:

Try adding additional information such as model number or words like "master", "ceramic" etc. True, it will take a lot longer to find the right watch for you but for now that's the best work around you can try.

Good luck find your GMT!

You need a minimum number of letters or numbers for the SEARCH function to interpret it as a valid term.

GMT would give you too many hits.
An algorithm rejects it.

Which it does state when you put just a few letters into this forum and most other forum search engines. Now forum software is V Bulletin and it has one of the best in-forum searches out there.

The explanation was within the returned message you missed, though not specific.
