My new daily 149

Anyone else use one as their daily pen?

I have used a 149 daily for over 25 years. It's large reservoir, even flow and quick drying ink make it a natural for a lefty. The ballpoint and pencil see much less use than they once did as carbons and financial analysis by hand have all but vanished from my work place.

Nice. I have never bought myself I nice pen but would like to soon. I don't know what to get though. I sign paperwork all day. I have to press hard because most of it has carbon copies. Any recommendations?

It was my practice to use the MB ballpoint for carbons. I found the MB rollerball's ink supply was insufficient and cartridges lasted me less than a week (less during quarterly closes because of the high number of checks with carbons that crossed my desk). Also, being left handed, the rollerball's ink was slow drying and smeared too easily.

Now that my organization has gone to laser printing it's checks with no carbons, the 149 is all I use for the checks and documents passing across my desk.

Your best bet, as already stated, is going with a ballpoint pen if you are signing a lot of paperwork.....but of course you could always buy a second pen for pleasure and other activities and then you could get a fountain pen!!!

The fountain pen for pleasure is so true. I use mine for cards, letters, notes, and long correspondence. As a daily doer, I use the MB bp. You got to have some nice and pleasureable things in life.
