Versace watches
How is the quality of their watches? Is it worth the price your paying for these watches or is it a kenneth cole situation.
http://www.amazon.com/Versace-M8C80D...ywords=versace This is just a watch I was looking at. |

I would have a hard time paying $1800 for a quartz movement. I would say they are overpriced.

In all honesty I don't mind a quartz movement but at this price I'd much prefer to have at least a solid gold watch, I'd probably pass on this one...

For that much I'd rather get a Breitling B1.

For that much money stick with solid reputable watchmaker brands. Versace IMO is just fashion watches.

I'd get something from a non-fashion brand, it looks slightly odd to me.

You can get Quartz watches from real watch brands for around that much. You can even step into some nice preowned OMEGA Seamasters (Professional and Planet Ocean)/Speedmasters with mechanical movements for just a little bit more.
Never really got into brands like Prada, Versace, D&G. A little to Metro for my taste. More into Hugo Boss and even then, I wouldn't buy any of their watches (at least they are made by Movado).

Quartz Seamasters from Omega, Lots of quartz TAGs, Some nice Raymond Weils, Baume and Merciers to name a few. Also, Oris, Hamilton (for Automatics at really reasonable prices), Tissot, TW Steel and Citizen also come to mind. I think there are many offerings from these houses that are in the $1500 to $3000 range (or even less). For a 'fashion' watch, I wouldn't spend more than $500. Quite frankly, the only watch I own that comes in under $1000 retail is a Casio G Shock (which admittedly, gets more wrist time than both of my TAGs combined). I know, it's terrible and it probably labels me as a snob but what are you going to do???
