Yup the year indicator kind of kills it unfortunately. But I do feel I have to try it on before I remove it from my (long) list.

The year indicator in that location also seems typical of another Richemont brand - IWC.
Their Da Vinci Perpetual's - both the earlier incarnation and the more recent rectangular version - show the year indicator in the lower left quadrant of the watch. I am wondering with such a complication, whether there is an internal architecture issue that leaves not a lot of space elsewhere for the year indicator to "surface" but in that region of the dial ...? |
