Chopard: Full movement service, cleaning/reoiling, new crown, new seals/gaskets, adjust/regulate, confirm original specs, re-seal and pressure test, exterior polish, add 2 bracelet links, 1350.00 Ouch!

That's why we use Rikki.

Where can I find this Rikki? I have some real old vintage stuff I'd like to have serviced without crown changes and all that stuff.

Edit: Used the elusive search function and sent Rikki a PM.

Have to remember to keep the collection in check if you can't afford the servicing...

But, now you have all Rolex parts and a two year warranty backed by Rolex.

Except that it's a Chopard. Can't have everything I guess :-) I do love this Chopard, though. I'll show it off when it returns in a couple of months.

Is it a chrono? That's a lot for a 3 hander. In-house movement?

It is not a chrono. It's an Imperiale. I'm not sure what "in house" means.

Very nice!

In-house movements are ones the company makes itself. Otherwise they buy stock movements and 'case' them.

Looks like this one has a Sellita SW 300 base caliber, which is a stock movement but known as a good one. Since its stock, next time you could have an independent watchmaker service it for probably $250 or so.

Not pushing manufacturer or independent necessarily but wanted to show you there are options!

Thank you tigerpac. When it next needs service, I'll definitely go independent, given that information. Very useful. I guess its not so bad having the factory do its first service since I got it, but afterwards things may be a bit more flexible :-)
