Disappointed

Well I have been waiting a year to get to an AD since starting my new job. So today we drove to Surfers Paradise today to go to the Hour glass. I couldn't wait to get in the door and finally choose a pam . Get in the door and look around, the shop had been stripped of about 40 percent of its stock. I ask where all the stock had gone . the manager said that they have opened a store in Brisbane and haven't had a new watch in the shop for over 3 month ......... Not happy I can tell u. But the shop manager did let me try on his pam 360 . Which I didn't mind the pvd coating

It's not unusual for Panerai ADs (in Aus at least) to have little or no stock

The manager has a 360? What's the story there - is he one of the original 'chosen ones' or did he acquire it afterwards?

Btw, this thread belongs in the Panerai forum

I was in MX last year and found an AD. I decided to let my excitement take me right down to it and come to find out they have 1 Panerai in stock. ONE! Sheez....

I feel for you blokes! In Vienna there are three ADs and about three decent gray dealers. It's not quite HK or Las Vegas but I can' t complain ;) Odd that you can't find enough in Melbourne though... :-\

As someone from bris Vegas I'm very happy there is a Brisbane store now. Having been to both stores in the last two months there is a lot of stock that has come up the highway - that said I must say the staff at the hour glass were fantastic. I was in kicking tyres but the manager spent a lot of time showing me watches across the range and even got out some of the watches you can only dream about.

Good luck in your search for a PAM and happy Australia Day mate

Nah, we still have the cans between a piece of string and Cobb and Co. for the mail.

Wait 'til you get to Van Diemans Land (Tasmania to the locals), only a few of us have been taught to tell time other than by the sun.

Clearly you know little of Panerai in Australia, it's not easy to view ANY of them before you buy at the very few authorised dealers.

cheers,
richard

Happy Australia Day Tray_18 and all the other Aussie members here.

ROFL. I always wondered about you fellas across the ditch.

My dealer in Auckland normally has between 20 and 30 models at any one time.

Yes when I was in Vienna in October there were a number of stores- wempe, bucherer etc. they all had decent stock. In Sydney one of the stores I went to last week had quite a number, not on display but " in the safe". I was a bel to see a number, but hour glass in Melbourne are quite good too.

Message to the OP- get outa Surfers!!

I walked into the PAM boutique in Dubai over the weekend and I was shocked to find out that they only have an approximate of 10+ watches on available. Previously, the display cabinets and counters are all full.
Accordingly to them they have been doing some brisk sales and new stocks are rather slow as well.
