Are Jaeger-Le-Coultre's scratch magnets...?

I am looking into getting a pre-owned 37mm dress watch. I really like the simple look of the JLC Master Control Triple date- 140.8.87. (See sample ebay photo) As with other smooth bezel watches, I am concerned that this model's case would scratch easily.

For you lucky few who own this type of stainless steel watch, how hard is it remove the scratches, and how often do you need to do this...?

thanks,

Don't let the possibility of scratches put you off that superb JLC...I think hair line scratches here and there are inevitable.

I wear my Reverso during formal events or during winter and usually under a cuff, so scratches are minimal (except on the clasp).

The Master control series is great. I loved my Hometime but the 100% polished surface was a scratch magnet. Still it becomes a pleasing patina very quickly. Don't let scratches dissuade you from a nice watch. If they do, a quick wipe down and polish with Cape Cod cloth will fix it.

Jlc's polished surfaces are great... Sure you get scratches but I haven't seen it scratch up like other polished surfaces from rolex , breitling etc... It seems more resistant in a way, hard to explain

Cape Cod cloth will get rid of 80% of the hairline stuff and when you sent it in for service they're bring it back to 100%
