Is anyone else here a one-watch-wonder?
It starts with one, like everyone says.

off topic:

I think a watch will be stolen no matter where you are and what brand it is. Just saying, you can be in Manila or L.A., if it catches the attention of the mugger, then you will get mugged.

I now have three Rolex watches but for the first thirty one years I only had one, a lowly AK that I wore 24-7.

That being said, excluding the real enthusiasts on this site, I would think the average Rolex owner has only one watch.

Good for you, you only actually need one of them so you're not being silly.

To be honest, I own watches that I don't even really like and am about to embark on culling spree. No Rolex's leaving though, I have limited myself to three. Sub C, 42mm Explorer and a 1680. Am toying with the idea of a gold Oysterquartz though........

Will the madness ever end!?

I started with only having 2 watches for the last 9 years and went buck wild after joining TRF last summer. It's a sickness.

Good on you. Some just don't feel the need to own multiple watches. I'm not there yet

There are many watch-lovers who can afford many Rolex and don't.
There are many watch-lovers who can afford many Rolex and do.
There are many watch-lovers who can't afford many Rolex but do anyway.
It's really more about individual personalities than about financial capacity.

My goal in life is to be a one-watch man. I should say "dream", because I'll probably never achieve it. I keep buying more, and I never sell any.

I started with one, then joined here, and everything has snowballed from there.
It's became a hobby, searching, researching, talking, buying, flipping watches!!!

TRF has done me in! I was happy with my Breitling and then I found my way here. I have too many watches but even if I consolidate, I can not get below 7 that I really would like to keep and wear. I don't think I can ever get to 3 or 4.

When I got my first watch I was a one-watch wonder. That lasted only a few weeks.

I'm a one Rolex guy. Used to have a bigger collection (about four) and got married, adopted my son, etc... Different priorities for me -- but I would love to have more than one :)
