So I'm already thinking about my next watch purchase in 2015. I am seriously veering towards a rose gold rolex, and I've narrowed it down to three choices:
1) RG Daytona with the chocolate dial,
2) RG Sky Dweller with the silver (?) dial, or
3) RG Day-Date II with the chocolate wave dial. All on bracelet, not strap.
I already have two Daytonas, and I have always thought of the DD as the classic, iconic, quintessential Rolex, and the 41 mm size is very attractive to me. The fact that it comes in rose gold is just icing on the cake.
The Daytona is AWESOME, and I really like the look of it. But as I mentioned above, I already have one in SS, and in YG on the strap.
The Sky Dweller is just an awesome piece, and I like the aesthetics as well as the functionality of it. That being said, I would look at other brands before Rolex for an AC. It is quite heftier than the other as well, and wears a bit "clunkier" (to me) than the other two.
It is a big decision for me, and I know I really can't go wrong with any of the above, but I would still like your inputs/opinions regarding the three. Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for responding!

I am on the lookout for a WG DD and saw a blue faced red hand TT Daytona this past weekend, but want a Jubilee band instead of the TT oyster. We'll see how the year shapes up if I am able to get those.

I'll see what Basel has to offer. If nothing of interest then I might pursue a RG DD2 or make my first venture into vintage for a minty 1680.

I agree. REALLY leaning towards this one...that chocolate dial is stunning..I really like the wave dial tho...chocolate wave dial would be the one for me I think.

I'm not in the precious metal league yet but for me the hard decision would be between the RG Skydweller and DDII they both have something special about them and look best in RG

Tough one...DD is a must, but owning a SS, YG AND a RG Daytona would make your collection unique!

If your skin suits the RG daytonna its a very individual watch and I like the ones that look different.

Having said that the choc DD is simply stunning too

DD based on your current collection although I prefer the traditional 36mm size over the larger DDII unless you have large wrists. Just my preference.

Day-Date is simply the most classic and time tested IMHO (outside of the Subs).

The DJ (in some form or another) is the highest on my list from my next purchase. Possibly the DJII 116300 with oyster bracelet, black stick dial with smooth bezel. I can't afford the really DJ I want, which is the D-D DJ in WG.

You will own it for a lifetime............

If you go DDII, then agree with the above votes for the chocolate dial.

If you go SKD, then I would go YG with the silver dial.

Between those two, I have no idea...
