Selling gold??

How does one get the best price for coins like this? They are 1/10 oz .999 gold pieces, QEII Australia.

There are gold buying stores all over town...is that the best way to monetize these?

You shouldn't have a problem finding someone willing to pay spot. I know my shop pays 100 less spot an oz but if you shop around, finding a buyer at spot shouldnt be a problem. Cl usually has quite a few buyers as well

Selling gold??

Did you get a buyback value from Goldline already?
That could be the baseline you'd use before accepting any offers that are made locally.

I wish you all the luck in your sale, but I certainly hope that these coins aren't just looked at for the value of their gold.

Yes I did. It's the best offer yet, above spot. Seems their long game is to sell coins at inflated prices, then buy them back close to market, then sell again at inflated prices?

He is considering selling back to them. Anyone, please feel free to PM me if you have any experience-good or bad-with these guys.

True enough. These are bullion coins meant for hedging against other investments or currency devaluations.

With continued negative interest rates for cash deposits, physical gold has been underrated for too long.

Good hunting on better price - but with spot prices slated to fall on Sept. FOMC report you may need to move on sale before long.

Apmex and Gainesville coin. Spot pricing should be minimum buy price, especially for fractionals which generally have a higher price / premium over spot. DO NOT accept anything below spot.

Try apmex. And this is why I'm sticking with silver.

I am about to buy some gold. Kinda vested as much as I want to be in the market right now.

Or just buy a white gold Rolex.

Selling gold??

Thanks all for the info. I think they're headed back to Goldline. They're paying well over spot.

Now I have another question. Do these Netherlands coins hold more value than just gold content? They are 1917 and 1932 vintages.

I think they would have more value to a coin collector as long as they're mint.
