Restore Rolex - Need assistance in model verification
Hi Everyone,
New here, so I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules. I recently found 2 Rolex watches that used to belong to my grandfather. Both are in pretty bad shape and I'm trying to figure out what's the best way to restore them (if that's even possible). Before I start reaching out to Rolex distributors I thought this might be a good place to get advice and to get the specific models so I could do some homework. Anyone has any pointers on which specific models are these and how to proceed from here? (attaching a photo of both watches, one bracelet appears to be a plain replacement. Happy to send over any details if needed). Thanks, Ben |

Rolex watches have model and serial numbers inscribed on the sides of the case and information inside the case-back. I would suggest that you begin there.
they both appear to be early 1960's/70's 15xx Date models.

Thanks, will try and have them looked at.
Are there any rubber straps recommended for these? I'm not much of a bracelet fan. |
