I wear it with everything - in bed, with jeans and for work with a suit. Its a great all rounder.

I don"t own a sub, but the answer would still be no. I wouldn"t wear my Speedmaster or Seamaster either (regardless of Prince William). I'm going to a wedding next weekend. Will be wearing a vintage Omega of some sort on a black strap.

I have no style or clothing coordination so I wouldn’t even think about matching my watch to my clothes

Wear what you feel comfortable with. These "rules" were made in a very different time/world than today.

The Submariner goes with everything. Suit up, Tux up, wear what works and the Submariner works for me with everthing.

I used to. Now, I have a Cyma dress watch on a nylon strap that coordinates with my suit I wear on dress-up days.

I think a Sub looks very sexy with a suit, even tux.
Look at the pics in Rolex magazine #6. Very sexy! Except the one with the lady. I would think a watch with a leather bracelet would fit better for a very formal occasion, but those pictures proved me wrong. Did i say yet, very sexy?

I don't think its a bad idea to wear a Sub for any occasion. I feel like that is one of the few watches suitable for many occasions.

Don't own any of the clothes you mentioned. Shorts and Sanuks w/o shirt 90% of my time.

Wearing a Sub with a suit is like wearing sneakers with a suit...you look like a clown. Wear a proper dress watch with a suit or don't wear a watch at all. Show some class.

Sure, I feel like these days my Bluesy is the go-to for my smart-casual dress up watch.
