Service Center Watch Replacement Value?

I sent my 16710 for service and a few days later received a written copy of the proposed service and cost estimate. On the estimate there's a line item that says "in the unlikely event of loss or damage, your watch will be replaced with a current or similar model with an approximate retail value of $8,000".

Are they referring to current retail price of a ceramic GMT or some second hand market of a 5 digit GMT?

Not that it's super important, just curious.

You were not clear, what service center was it sent to?

You should use this for insurance.

If I'm not mistaken isn't the current MSRP for a 116710LN $8,450 and the BLNR $8,950? Why wouldn't Rolex match one of these prices?

OP, did you have the black bezel insert installed or a Pepsi/Coke? Wouldn't the Pepsi/Coke fall under the same category as the BLNR due to the dual colors on the bezel? :: thinking::

It's a Pepsi. Maybe because it was a F serial so it's a little older? Honestly not sure.

I sent my D-serial "Pepsi" 16710 to the Dallas RSC last week. On the estimate it states, "in the unlikely event of loss or damage, your watch will be replaced with a current or similar model with an approximate retail value of $8,000."
