Possible crown/gear issue? Moving second hand while changing time
Hi All,
I have a GMT Master II(c). When I pull out the triple lock crown to change the time (in the outer most position), sometimes the second hand keeps moving while I change the time. If I fiddle it a bit, the second hand finally stops (seems to be a gear thing). Happens about 1/3 of the time. Is this normal or a problem? |

I am no expert but would say its not normal, I know there is a lot happening and gears have to mesh when you pull the crown out and as you say a slight wiggle sorts it so may just be nothing, but there are good experts on here who will no doubt give you a more accurate answer, if all else is working fine and winder action is smooth it may be nothing to worry about.

Also, found some old threads discussing the same issue. Some posters said it was due to low oil, while others say it's normal. Interesting. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=390251 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=120948 https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=110695 |

I have had that happen a few times with my 114060 which was purchased earlier this year. I haven't talked about it to my dealer but if it keeps happening I'll be taking mine in to get checked.
