For those that doesn't know yet, the Omega Seamaster has a long association with the James Bond films dating back to 1999 when Pierce Bronsan first worn the timepiece in Golden Eye. In total, the Seamaster was featured in 8 most recent James Bond films. The only other Omega that was featured was the Plant Ocean in Skyfall. Depending on your views on commercial product association, one may or may not find this a positive. I was OK with it and I think it add a bit of interesting historic background to this watch and was done discretely and tastefully.
another excellent shot from Anthony. Photo credits : IG : anthony.do_

I was blown away by this watch after I tried it on. It kind of took me by surprise. I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves. I just wish they kept it at 41mm, because even though it wears compact, 42mm is pushing it for my wrists.

as I have said before I owned sub c for 6 years and I definitely would not swap my SMP for a sub c - well I would but only to sell it buy another SMP 300m and pocket the change

OK so I couldn't resist it on the back of that article that had the new SMP 300m as the watch of the year and the new rolex GMT pepsi at only number 10 and the last of the honourable mentions

Ben, you've pushed me over the edge. I look forward to adding this over the next few months.
The original was a watch I lusted over in the mid nineties and had a huge crush on...I'm feeling very nostalgic over this one. The black one is so so nice, but if you want to reminisce, it has to be blue. |

I do have a question...I've seen in a video review that the bottom of the He valve doesn't look like it sits exactly parallel to the case. Is seems becase the curvature of the case but I would find it hard to believe that Omega couldn't get this right. Hopefully this was just the angle.
Can any owners shed some light on this. Thx in advance. |

Affirmative. It's not sitting flush on the 6 o'clock side.
Beside the usual structural-based negative opinions (e.g, the presence of a valve on a 300m rating), I've noted a couple of design flaws. 1)Depending on the angle of vision, Date window digits can be hard to read. 2)mirror effect in natural light washing out all white script on the dial in some angles. |

I have a Deepsea and people are up in arms about the rehaut text and the writing on the ring...complete non issue on the wrist. Hell, I can't even see the rehaut writing at arms length. |

Was trying to resist for some time but you did not help with all the photos you posted. Trigger pulled on black version. I blame it on you mate.

I m not sure I agree that there are "flaws"
the HE valve may be an optical illusion as the lug starts to flare from the case where the top edge of the HE valve sits so there may be the appearance suggested but it is not crooked and my word you need some super eyesight to pick that up in real life as the date wheel is sitting below the dial and viewed through a window in the dial you will need to be looking head on to the dial to see the wheel below - same every watch with a date function? washed out white text? isn't that a function of the ceramic dial finish? not a flaw

Like I said, I can live with these. Flaws or idiosyncrasies or whatever language one might use. :)

Awesome watch and one I’ll miss out on. After several trips to AD willing it to shrink, it just hasn’t. I’ve concluded it’s too large for a 6.5. Your results may vary. I’m sure in 2023 they will release a 38.5 that I’ll find too small.

It slides in and out, you slide as much as you like, really great clasp from Omega. Similar to the 116610 and works nicely plus the diver extension folded slides with it. I think it is even better thought out than the Sub's.
