Is the Snoopy 45th dial the same lacquered white finishing?
I do love the Snoopy 45, and wouldn’t have minded black Speedmaster lettering…but I understand and appreciate the red lettering on the new one.

Tbh that’s longer that I would have expected. Perhaps they are just being cautious not to over promise.

This is possibly my next watch too and am tempted to make a move. But I think I am not going to decide until I see what crops up at Watches and Wonders next month, because I could be tempted by a Tudor.
Put down a full deposit for mine at a boutique. They said 2-3 months.

This is an omega boutique watch I went to see.

If it wasn’t for the recent 321 pickup, I’d 100% buy this. I will be buying in future once I’ve had plenty of time with the 321.

Some more

I'm shocked you left the boutique without it. No way would I have been able to do that. Credit to you for withstanding the pressure...

I’m in the same boat Jim …

I have pretty good restraint, but in all honesty if my SA messages me with this one, I’ll probably cave

The AD near me has them in stock now. I love it and will be picking one up as soon as they are available on strap. I'm not paying for a bracelet that I'd remove immediately.

Just to confirm, this is an AD not a boutique?

If I hadn't recently picked up a 321 (Dec) I definitely would have. Its a stunning stunning watch.

But I have this odd rule, that if I buy a watch I need to honour it and enjoy it for a significant (unspecified I'll admit - based on a feeling) amount of time.

Getting another speedy so quickly feels greedy, like hoarding.

Exceptions are other watches I've been waiting for for a long time.

The polished links are a non starter for me.
I had my center bits brushed on the big box hesalite, looks best.

It's an easy resolution.

The Snoopy dial is silver. It will be noticeably different next to the new white dial.

Looks wonderful. If somebody (me) already owned an 1861 hesalite, would this still be a a good buy? I’m thinking it might pair nicely

Beautiful piece but for the extra $1600 the Rolex Explorer II is by far the better value.

You are right…

But two things are likely to happen:

The Speedy will not be purchased at retail
The Explorer II will not be purchased at retail

Less compelling when you put over $3K between these two.

Damn, I have the same explorer and it is really a bright white. The speedy in that picture looks brighter than the explorer, can't wait to see the speedy in person.

Will this be readily available 365 days? Or will they limit the supply?

My magic 8ball says yes in a few months. My toy predictor has had a historical hit rate of 67% though
