Mine came with the silver dial, but I found it wore a bit smaller as the dial doesn't stand out as much as the champagne. The silver was nice, though, it just threw off the watch imo. I had the dial switched out to champagne and haven't looked back!

i would have thought that 36mm would be too small. But from all these pictures they look really nice and classy!

The 'mid-sized' ongoing discussion on the forum interests me because while I've deeply loved and admired the beauty, construction and spirit of my 35mm PL/SS YachtMaster, I've almost been talked into spending a few grand to 'upgrade' to a 'more manly' 40mm version. (I do own the 40 BLNR and with my small wrists I think 40 is as big as I can go).

Here's my 35mm in life. Bought in 2000 -- it's 17 years old and runs like a top (that 2235 calibre movement is a wonder of the world : )

That YM looks sweet on your wrist, no shame in wearing what it fits you / you like!

This blue DD is stunning on you!

I think I've caught the 'Rolex fever'. I bought my SS/PL Yachtie in 2000 (17 years ago and it looks beautiful and runs like a top!).

I fell in love with the BLNR and while researching it (mainly here, and in other Rolex sites) caught the bug. I made a solemn promise to my SO that 'this was it -- I'd be satisfied with my BLNR and Yachtie. And yet the photos in these threads...these amazing watches...make me wonder if my promise can be kept!

Thank you for the comment. I've always agreed! But I've been swayed by all the small-watch-dislike from (admittedly a few) vocal members...it made me think 'I gotta go up to a 40 for my Yachtie.'

I have a 40 BLNR and love it but, as one poster so eloquently put it, this 'grown up adult male' has small wrists! And that 35mm Yachtie is the most comfortable watch I've ever worn. It's been recently serviced, runs better than ever at 17!

And, thanks to the many many wonderful people here, I've reconnected with the fact that this little craft-work-of-art-watch and me have been through a lot together the past 17 years. And we're gonna (hopefully) see the next 17 years and beyond, together.

I know this is sappy. But I've always loved this watch. And to the members here who've advised to 'stick with what you love', I say

'Thank you!'
