Liquid lunch (Banana Nutrament) for me today and a peanut crunch bar... Needless to say I'm definitely losing out on quality meals!

Allow me to defy you Sam!

Datejust's first set of pictures in this thread, I took them especially for that!

We ate homemade Mexican food yesterday, it was delicious!

Two-tone at its best!

Everything is almost done...

And the final plate with a small bowl of spinach salad. I was about to take a picture of the meal when my mother screamed "put your watch in it!", she's the best!

Carl you definitely have me beat! Love your TT Datejust. Last night the Mrs. and I had dinner at an Italian restaurant in which she warned me not to take pictures of our food so this is the only picture I was able to snap

Chicken Parm sandwich and two personal pizzas (wasn't just me)

Last night went to a nearby bar, recommended to me by TRF's own naiticajoe. Went with my fiancé, sister and brother-in-law. It was awesome. Great beers and tons of meat. Here are a couple pics.

Well Sam, we can easily guess who's the boss in your couple!

If my girlfriend warned me not to take pictures I'd tell her "listen honey, I'm going to take pictures of whatever I want because I'm the man"!

...And then I'd give her a three hours long foot massage before going on the couch to sleep!

How was the restaurant? What did you eat?

Seems to be very good Sam, it's a shame we can't see pictures! Now don't hope to calm us with a couple of Snickers bars' pictures and Banana drink!

Fried onions/garlic in olive oil, heavy cream, lobster meat, season to taste, and I'm guessing some fresh chopped chilli peppers? Then stirred in with pasta?

mate that was pretty damn close!!!

here it is...

this serves two, but in fact i could eat the whole lot myself it's that good

shopping list
500g of cooked lobster
2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove of garlic
1 shallot
1 green chilli
100ml white wine
200ml double cream
1 lemon grass stalk
1 lime
coriander for garnish
250g of fresh spaghetti (no packaged cheap crap)

what to do
-cut up shallots, garlic, chilli and lemon grass into fine little chunks - size of lume dots on an old vintage GMT
-fry above for 1-2 mins in the olive oil
-add white wine and reduce by half
-add cream and reduce by half.
-add lobster and lime juice
-season with salt and pebber
-simmer for 4-6 mins while spaghetti is cooking

mix lobster and spaghetti and garnish with coriander (it's nice without and parsley complements the dish too)

the above should set you back about £80 / $130 depending on where you get your lobster. not cheap for home cooking but this dish is pretty damn good!

enjoy kids - and tune in next week when we're cooking RIBS!!!

Today I am having a Chicken Big Mac.

And the only reason is to get a photo for this thread.

(I really need to stop letting TRF control my life.)
