Guys I know it might sound silly but just wanted to ask for some peace in mind. I was cooking with my brand new air king (1st Rolex) I opened the oven for few seconds to get the food out totally forgot I was wearing the watch. So it was exposed to The oven heat (only for few seconds)

So... is it safe to check the oven with your Rolex on?lol

I just did some drywall work with my Rolex on. It made it through perfectly, yet a little dusty.

Let's think about this thread .......

Chuck Yeager wore a 34 mm Oyster to break the sound barrier,
Sir Edmund Hillary wore an Explorer for the first ascent of Everest.
Paul Newman wore (what else) a Daytona to race at Daytona.
Don't even get me started on the b**ls of the Comex divers.

All of these watches weren't nearly as robust as what we have today.

So, the answer to the thread is YES. Whatever we mere mortals can get ourselves into, our Rolexes will be safe.

Funny although I try to not show my Rolex when I’m at the antique store, hoping to negotiate a discount!
