I bought a jawbone maybe a year ago never did sync to my phone. Never should of wasted the money, I simply don't use a phone enough.

I'm so tired of people driving unpredictibly and all over the road because it's more important to have their finger in their ear. Douche? This azzhat gets out of his minivan at the GAS station today, talking on his phone, with a LIT CIGARETTE HANGING OUT OF HIS MOUTH! I said something. He put it out, but he was mumbling something under his breath, but I didn't catch it.

I've also noticed that no one ever gives a friendly wave when I let them out into traffic. I don't know why I continue to let people out, other than I, too, would then be a douche.

Rant off.

In the People's Republic of California, we have to wear a hands free device while driving and talking on the phone....they passed this law 2 years ago and just passed the no texting while driving about a year ago. So everyone here looks like a douche, except for 75% of the people who are breaking the law!

Jawbone is the way to go. I have had one for 2 years and going strong.

I always wave in that situation so if anyone ever waves to you - it was me.
Thanks.

I spend nearly all day on the phone so i keep my jawbone II in all the time, now when i had the older BB headset it had a little holster and i would holster it at times but the jawbone does not really have any good storage system. So i guess i look like a douche all day, however when im out of the office unless im on business i usually will not take calls at all because i will be with my girl or family and when im with them i try to avoid work so i dont have it on then. I value my BT tremendously it frees my hand to take notes on computer or whatever i need to do.

I keep my Jawbone II in my ear when out and about and I almost never get calls.

I use Drivesafe.ly to read my emails to me. I'm lazy!

With that thought... is the issue with people talking on their phones or somebody having something in their ear? If the latter, do folks with iPods and earphones bother you, too? If so, why?

I would agree it's a bit weird when the guy on the elevator next to you starts talking and you think it's to you until he talks about what a wonderful evening he had the night before.

Cell phone etiquette should be practiced.

The blackberry hands free is by far the best set thus far. I have used practically every model that the local AT&T has and have yet to find one better then what blackberry is offering.

The best thing is the holster for the blackberry headset will vibrate and keep it secure when not in use.

I keep a wired headset in my car and one on my desk at home.

I've considered bluetooth headsets, but I just can't think of a good reason to have one. It's just another battery to worry about.

The last time I bought a wired headset, though, I noticed that they getting cheaper and actually harder to find.

My circumstances are different than most, but I keep my phone on vibrate and I don't answer it in public, unless there is something very special about the call and even then, I keep it short.

I irritates me that Verizon and others are forcing people to buy data plans if they so much as activate a 3G capable phone. I've never used so much as a bit of data and I won't ever, but if I want a decent phone and not some POS made for tween girls, I've got to increase my phone bill by no less than $15 for nothing.

I'm actually breathing fire as I write this.

I use it every working day, but I get your point. I do feel funny sometimes when I walk across a reflection of myself, I get to see I'm "talking to myself" alot hahahaha... but yes it also pains my ear alot, so I take it off every now and then to give my ear some rest.

But when you drive, the headset does make you feel much much better on the wheels.

Definitely douchey, but not nearly as bad as those who keep their phones on a belt clip. You might as well get a pair of mandels and a fanny pack....

I've had several bt headsets and cars that are compatible but I'm yet to find a single set up where call quality isn't seriously degraded. Often the quality is ok for the bt user, but the quality is awful at the other end. I can always instantly tell if someone is calling from a bt setup. I force those people to turn it off or I call them back later....

Never use one -
Phone goes to my ear - otherwise:
I have an excellent bluetooth system installed in my car.
They do not look cool - far from it IMHO -
BUT, if you need them for work - and it's legitimate for you to be able to take calls with your hands free..then fair enough. It's a price you have to pay for convenience (to look like you do with one in that is!) - Otherwise....

I like the belt holsters. Too bad I can't find a good one for my phone.

The ones Verizon sells has a clip that will get sprung if you accidentally put it over your belt instead of under and the one's one the internet that use belt loops are a gamble when it comes to fit, so the phone goes in my pocket.

Fine, and I use my car's Bluetooth when driving...but what's up with people wearing them at restaurants, in court, etc.?

I also agree that talking loudly on a cellphone at a restaurant, whether using Bluetooth or just holding the phone up to ear, is rude.
