Have to agree Larry but today in this stereo typed age many think the bigger heavier is always better.

Do make sure you actually try on a larger watch first! My old 14060 Sub is 40mm, perfect for me, and although I have nothing against the larger Sea Dweller IŽd definitely have to try it on first. But that goes for any watch purchase imho, unless you already know the watch! Good luck!

I went from sub to SD43 to Deepsea JC. SD43 is much more substantial than a sub on the wrist. But you need to try it on as it may be uncomfortable. The Deepsea is actually more comfortable on my wrist than the SD and is why (among other reasons) its a keeper. But it is thick and sits high on the wrist.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge here. It appears that a Sea Dweller is a larger more substantial size. Any input or suggestions? Thanx in advance.
Congratz! Depends on ur wrist, I have a small/ tiny wrist, 40mm is perfect.
U can upgrade to SD Red 43mm.

This is obvious, but larger watches (tend to) have larger dials. I would like a larger sub, both because it would look better on my larger flat-topped wrist than what is currently on offer, and also then the dial would be larger (more legibility, aesthetically more pleasing to me, etc).

I had a DSSD and 44mm watches and at first the Subc felt a bit small on me too, but now I am happy to have from 38 to 44mm, so a watch for all seasons.

Wear only the Sub for 2 weeks and no other watches and I bet you change your mind.

That always works for me.

I like big watches and I also like smaller watches like my vintage IWC or Gruen Curvex. But the Submariner, any Submariner, perfect!

This right here is just it.
The Sub is that watch that you purchase and before long the other watches in the collection becomes less attractive.

Love how different view points are! 99% of people complain SubC is too big as it wears like a 42mm. Apparently, others believe it to be too small! Fortunately, Rolex has enough diver options for everyone!

I love the bigger watches, and actually will not be buying any more 40 mm Rolex's.
The sea dweller family is my favorite line of watches, with the sd43 probably etching out the deep sea by a hair.
When I put my hulk on, it really does seem small now.

watch trends are moving back to smaller sizes, but each to their own, it's personal preference, wrist size, even occasion makes a difference. I find Rolex's sit bigger than other watches, 40mm is the sweet spot, more subtle
