I am fortunate to be able to buy or trade for most any watch I want at any price point below 200k. My grail now is the watch I currently want to wear and enjoy. Spending a lot of time with Seiko right now but still enjoy my 12 Rolex watches. I only have one PM piece right now, YG Sky-Dweller, and am pleased with my collection. No more grail watches, only watches I enjoy.
I kind of agree with this. I started with my 16610 20 years ago and had many models before, from 6263, 6265, 5508, 6538, Kermit flat 4, Zenith Patrizzi, 1675 PCG, ... almost all the desirable sport Rolexes. No more grail for me because I have right now 15 watches and I enjoy my white Milgauss or creamy 116520 almost as much as my platinum Daytona. Whichever brings a smile on my face when I put it on my wrist could be a grail.

All of the watches in my collection-as well as some that are no longer there-were grails at one point. So, I know myself, and know that I'll never be satisfied with any one watch.

In the spirit of actually answering the question, though, there are a few lust-worthy timepieces out there that I would definitely consider working into the rotation, if I could figure out when I would actually wear them lol.

The blue dialed WG GMT, meteorite WG DD40, and the rhodium RG Sky-D come to mind. And then there's the new 'Cermit' (am I saying that right? )...

A white dial 36mm Day Date. It’s cliché but that’s what it is.

Stunning actually wearing the same one today. I’ve not worn it for a while, I have been noticing the rehaut on this one a lot today it really stands out and gives the watch another dimension.

I have always thought wanted a DD was my grail, but after getting the Skydweller, i love the 43mm over the 40mm. I starting to believe i have my grail!

In my head, I don’t have any concept of a grail watch. Perhaps, I never associated buying a watch to achieving/celebrating/remembering specific personal or professional milestone.

It did take me a long time to get into PM watches. After buying TT Rolex and then PM JLC recently, I knew what I wanted and got the WG DD40 a couple of weeks ago.

I now appreciate and share the excitement of the TRF members when they recommend PM and how much they enjoy wearing them.

1166!)LV, which I have. It's still my grail. I will add a SS BLRO because I like it and am prepared to wait my turn. There are a few PM watches I love, including that beautiful RG Sky Dweller on page 1, but none are burning desires, must haves, grail pieces. Just really nice watches that I would like to own if I had more resources, storage space and wrists.

I honestly don’t know. I had what I thought was my grail, but ended up letting it go for a number of reasons.

I think I will always have a soft spot for PM, but I’ve realized I’m not interested in wearing one all the time. I guess what I’m really looking for is that one watch that I love every minute with and that I couldn’t imagine taking off my wrist. I thought that would be the smurf for me. It wasn’t. Now I’m hoping the new black dial sub really speaks to me.

I get you. I love pm watches, the feeling of it on wrist is unique. But I know what you mean about wearing it 24/7 not practical. I have the feeling you describe with my as white dial skyD. It’s just perfect for me. Maybe you could give one a try!

Picking the right dial would be challenging

I have two, if that’s allowed...

One I already own, and have wanted all my life, is the 116618LB.

The other (was just added/replaced in recent years and originally was the 116519MET, but I may never get to see either in person, let alone own) is the 126719BLRO.

I feel that way about my Daytona. Hopefully you can find the perfect watch for you.
