It's not about use or need now is it? Most people don't use their watch to tell time anymore.

I don’t have a Cermit but I definitely want one.

I do have a GMT. And like others say it does wear so nice on the wrist.

I have a new Bluesy and while I do love it, I feel it wears just a touch larger than it should.

Get both if you can swing it!

Go with what you prefer. What does your gut tell you?
I love the cermit, but for me a GMT is just a touch more special, and with the GMT function.

Try them both on and make your own call.

Allocations like that you have to buy and wait until the other call. Decide to sell or keep LV. Will always be in the green with an LV.

Flip a coin. Though both is the right answer. :-)

If I really had to choose, I would go Sub, as a diver is a great sports watch and I love the clean lines of its bezel insert and all brushed oyster bracelet.

At this point, I'll wait for something I'll wear and not an immediate flip. Told him Im looking for DJ 42 fluted jubilee then the GMT. I figured if it was offered to me it really wasnt moving.

I have both, started with BLNR, always wanted an LV, now I have an LV. I enjoy both for different reasons.

GMT. I don’t SCUBA dive.

I do travel and work with people across multiple time zones daily.

I also prefer the aesthetic. First choice BLNR but BLRO is nice too.

Cermit or GMT

For years, I would have answered with LV and without hesitation.

I have recently done a 180 though and now I much prefer my BLNR over my LV for a SS daily. I find the BLNR a much more interesting watch. I prefer it’s movement, it’s jumping hour hand, the date wheel moving backward as well. I think the BLNR dresses up better than the LV, and I have no problem with the PCL‘s in a casual setting either. I still like a LV but not as much as I used to. I’m actually in process of selling my current LV right now and that’ll leave me with zero Subs in my lineup (have had 3) but 2 GMTs. I think I’m OK with that.

I've had a sub for 3-ish years. I've fantasized about a GMT for the last year or two.... Pepsi / Sprite, primarily. About 6 months ago I was lucky enough to land a Sprite. It's a fantastic watch and way underrated imo. BUT - i learned something after a few weeks of wear.... and that is, for me and my lifestyle, a diver with a timing bezel is much more useful than a GMT.

So for you, before you get into Cermit or GMT and their status on the Rolex heirarchy, Id first ask.... Diver vs GMT function?

They're so different that 'both' is the correct answer.

If that wasn't an option then I would have to say the GMT... but which GMT?
